MISSION
To foster bold and significant research by new and emerging scholars, with special attention to voices that have been historically marginalized within academia, that offers fresh and challenging perspectives, influences academic discussions, and contributes to intellectual progress.
ENVIRONMENTAL GOALS
MacBain & Boyd is committed to green publishing practices with a goal of releasing every physical title on recycled, 100% post-consumer waste (PCW) paper with eco-friendly ink by 2022. We are also committed to working with vendors that hold environmental certifications (e.g. Forest Stewardship Council, Sustainable Forestry Initiative, etc.) whenever possible. We aim to use recycled and eco-friendly materials, services, and products for promotions, distribution, and daily operations. This press is working to increase earth-friendly materials in our publishing supply chain to ensure that we produce low-impact publications.
THINKING GLOBALLY, ACTING LOCALLY
MacBain & Boyd holds as a vital responsibility the need to think globally while acting locally. We attempt to work with minority-owned and women-owned businesses and both local and regional vendors as often as possible. In so doing, we are supporting an inclusive economy and contributing to our community's economic base.
